Stage Two
Stage One

Maths at a junior level (Year 1-3) consists mostly of number. Number is broken up into stages. After a child's first year at school they are expected to be between stages 2-3. After a child's second year they are expected to have reached stage 4. Below you can find stages 1- 4 and what each stage consists of. Hopefully this is useful in giving you ideas as to what your child is learning at school and what you can do at home to help.

At the front of your child's spelling/maths homework book you will find a copy of the stages your child is at. Highlighted areas are what they are working on and ones with a tick/sticker are areas they have successfully achieved.
